Bell Mag Motorcycle Helmet Review
The Bell Mag-8 comes with an added bonus of more comfort than any other in the category of open-face category. It is stylish and has a very comfortable removable liner (a different approach than the traditional skullcap liners) and feels great to not wear a full face helmet especially in the hot seasons and perfect for those who might feel claustrophobic.
The Mag-8 is designed with more than average ear pockets and the pocket extends out onto the inside of the shell giving riders that extra comfort. It also is much quieter than some of the full-face helmets which might be present in full-face helmets due to the air coming up the chin bar.
The visor does provide sun protection for the rider with the overhang and raises and lowers without the use of dents and the friction system that holds it is powerful enough to resist the air pressure. The visor covers the face down to almost the chin. The Bell Mag-8 is DOT approved and weighs 1454 grams, has decent protection with the wide black bumper, when placed down on the ground, and also has a an elastic band for tucking up the extra strap. It also provides protection for the rider’s chin with a couple of padded sections.
